AI Search Visibility

We show you exactly what AI tells your buyers about you — then we fix it.

Your customers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini which companies to consider — and those tools answer with a shortlist. If your name is not on it, you were never in the running. Most companies have never checked.

Free. Two business days. We test three AI engines and send you the transcripts.

The shift

Search stopped being a list of links

For twenty years, being found meant ranking. Today a growing share of buyer research never reaches a results page at all — someone asks an assistant, gets a direct answer naming three or four companies, and contacts those. There is no page two. There is no second chance to be considered.

1st

Answers come before links

Google now places an AI Overview above the organic results on a large share of commercial searches. It cites a handful of sources. Everything below it competes for what is left.

3–5

Names in a typical answer

Ask an AI assistant which suppliers to consider and you get a short list. Being sixth is the same as being invisible.

0

Companies who have checked

Almost nobody has actually tested what these tools say about them. It takes an afternoon and the results are usually a surprise.

What this looks like in practice

The test takes an afternoon. The result changes the conversation.

We do not ask an AI assistant about your company. We ask it the question your buyer asks — the one where your name either comes up or it does not.

> “We are specifying [your product category] for a new facility. Which manufacturers should we be considering, and how do they compare?”
ChatGPT web search enabled → names 3–5 manufacturers, cites the pages it used
Perplexity live sources → names 3–5 manufacturers, cites the pages it used
Gemini web search enabled → names 3–5 manufacturers, cites the pages it used
Then the only question that matters: are you one of them?

Run that across five to eight real buying questions and the picture is usually unambiguous. Either you show up consistently, you show up occasionally, or you are simply not in the conversation while three competitors are.

What we find when the answer is no

It is almost never that the company is bad at what it does — it is usually a category leader. It is that AI systems read structured facts, comparison content and clearly attributed expertise, and most manufacturer websites publish none of those. Specification documents locked in PDFs behind a crawl misconfiguration. Whole product catalogues with no machine-readable data. A materials comparison that exists only as a download. Each of those is fixable, and none of them requires changing anything about the product.

How we work

Three steps, and you see results from the first

1

We test

We build the questions your buyers actually ask — not keywords, real purchasing questions — and run them through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini with live web search. You get the transcripts, not our summary of them.

2

We diagnose

Then we find the reasons. Crawl configuration, structured data, content that answers questions in a form a machine can quote, the authority signals these systems lean on. Every finding is measured, not estimated.

3

We fix it

Technical remediation, structured data, and the content that makes you the obvious thing to cite. Then we re-test every month against the same questions, so progress is a number rather than an opinion.

Where we focus

Built for companies that sell through specification

Manufacturers, building products and industrial B2B. The categories where a specifier’s shortlist decides a six-figure order — and where almost no agency is paying attention to how those shortlists now get written.

We speak your language

Division 10, submittals, approved-equal, rep networks, spec libraries, EPDs. You should not have to explain your sales process to your marketing firm.

Your buyers moved first

Architects, engineers and specifiers were early adopters of AI research tools. The behaviour changed before most manufacturers noticed.

Your competitors have not moved

Nearly every agency in this space chases software and e-commerce. The industrial category is wide open, and early movers compound.

Who you work with

One senior consultant. No account managers.

I am Lance Rankin. When you hire Digital Regiment, I do the work — the testing, the diagnosis, the fixes and the reporting. There is no junior team, no hand-off after the pitch, and nobody between you and the person who understands your site.

I also run a large e-commerce operation of my own, with a catalogue in the thousands and every technical headache that comes with it. That is not a case study I bought; it is a site I maintain. It is the reason manufacturer problems feel familiar rather than theoretical.

More about how I work

Find out what AI says about you

We run the buyer questions in your category through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google Gemini, and send you a short report showing whether you appear, who appears instead, and why. No cost, no obligation, no sales call required to receive it.
